No, membership does not rely on you receiving a Carers payment or allowance through Centrelink.
To join, does the person I support have to be a co-resident?
You can access support regardless of where the person you care for lives as long as you live in the Northern region of Adelaide.
How much does it cost to join?s
There is no cost to join, but contributions and donations are gladly accepted.
Are there regular news updates for members?
Members receive a free bi monthly newsletter.
What happens to my personal information?
Information provided by members is kept confidential and only used for purposes mutually agreed upon.
Do I have choices when it comes to respite?
Yes, you can choose the day and time you wish to access respite.
What if I need to change my respite arrangements?
Services can be changed at any time with prior notice.
Can the person I care for be taken outside of the home? Is there a fee?
Yes, travel and outings within a 10km radius from the home can be arranged. There may be a small fee required however a waiver is in place depending on your circumstances.
Is it possible to accumulate respite?
No, it is preferred you use your respite on a regular basis to make sure you take a break and keep on top of things.
