Where Carers and their families come first

Come work with us!

Northern Carers Network has a number of volunteers that support our program activities.  Volunteers work in number of roles performing different tasks such as telephone support, working in our community opp shop, assisting with the newsletter, supporting our children’s social, driving, recreational  programs and fundraising.

If you are interested in volunteering for Northern Carers Network, the first step is to  fill out the volunteer registration form - download here. Email, fax or return the registration form to the Northern Carers Network office. Once we have received your registration form our volunteer coordinator will make a time for an interview to further discuss available volunteering opportunities, what role would suit you best, and what you would like to achieve.

All volunteers must complete a National Police Check before coming to work at Northern Carers Network as a Volunteer.

support groups

Northern Carers Network offers access to a range of Support Groups for Carers. Some are specialised and others are more general. Some groups meet monthly and some fortnightly. Some share coffee and a chat and others hear from guest speakers or go out and about. What they all have in common is they provide an opportunity for Carers to connect with people in similar circumstances to their own.
